Mill Valley Little League

Minors

The Minors program is for players who are League Age 10 and 11 (typically, 4th and 5th graders).   This is an intermediate level of competitive play.  Most players should have played in the AAA division the prior year.  As with AAA, players pitch and Little League rules are followed, umpires call balls/strikes, and scores and team standings are kept.  Many Little League players play two seasons of Minors - as League Age 10-year-olds and again as League Age 11-year olds.   A skills tryout is required.  Players are drafted by managers and coaches to teams based on tryouts and player evaluations from prior season(s).  All League Age 11-year-olds who try out for Minors (or try out for Majors and are not drafted to a Majors team) will be placed on a Minors team.  League Age 10-year-olds who are not drafted to a Minors team will be placed on an AAA team. Teams are eligible for post-season tournaments. Players may be selected for All-Stars based on their ages.  Contact Minors Commissioner Bill Bindeman at [email protected] with any questions about Minors.
